'The Fundamentals of the VOX Acting Method Textbook—The Dawn of a New Acting Style' Lectute
Guard your heart - The Bible tells us that the heart is where the issues of lifespring forth. What we allow to enter our hearts will affect our thoughts, actions and our bodies. In other words, the condition of one's heart determines the course of one's life ... so is we want to walk in His peace and rest, we need to guard out hearts and not let them spiral into negative thoughts." - By Joseph Prince, based on Proverbs 4:23
'It's not about what is happening around you, it's about what is becoming of you.'
Albert Enstein once said that "The world will not change, until we change our thinking."
"Many musicians have an instinctive understanding of how musical sound interacts with our bodies. They know — they feel — that sound impacts our bodies in a way no other art does. Opera singer Irene Gubrud says, 'As a very young child, I experienced who I was through sound. I felt whole.'” - The Power Of Music To Affect The Brain
WHERE THE MIND GOES THE MAN IS SURE TO FOLLOW!
'Did you know you can become completely different characters, by embracing being a product of the environment? When you have an actor doing something by themselves that becomes interesting, but when they're playing off of auditory hallucination that's compelling'
Step into a world where acting transcends mere performance. In 'The Fundamentals of the VOX Acting Method' Textbook, was birth from the development of my mental illness, that's how I know it works! The VOX acting method is an approach to acting developed by American film/theater practitioner, Joel Brown. The goal of the new acting method is for the actor to not focus on the role that the environment plays on them, but instead concentrate on becoming a better version of the character in that situation that is trying to squeeze you into its mode. For example, you can be in a neighborhood like New York City where the loud traffic and roudy neighbors never stop that plays a role in it trying to shape you into being the product of it's environment, yet I can have a song within me that keeps my peace and creates my own Kairos moment to be another character.
The L'Herisse VOX Acting Approach is an approach to acting developed by American film/theater practitioner Joel Brown. The goal of the VOX approach is for the actor to not focus on drowning-out facing-the-music and instead concentrate on the sounds in the environment to become a different version of the character of the product of the environment that the situation is trying to shape you into. The purpose of this new acting technique is to provide the basic techniques and approaches to VOX aka: atmospheric mellifluous acting. Covers the fundamentals of unconscious awareness, the psychology of music: rhythm and movement, and creating kairos moments out of various ambience. VOX Atmospheric Mellifluous Acting is intended to be another acting technique for actors. The technique allow the actor to experiment with the sounds of their environment, the urge to move to music, and improvisation to various ambience. The idea for a course will be remote and verbally oriented with the emphasis on doing, with it in mind for the students to prepare acting scenes which will be directed and performed at home and on-location for an audience of one. The technique is designed to provide actors with specific acting exercises based on sounds that enable them to create different characters, emotions, and situations under the pressure of their environment for film and theater. The actors will learn to control the outcome and create your own kairos moments for every action to reaction in a situation.
Furthermore, this course examines the acting process and technique of living in an hallucination and delusional state of mind based off atmospheric sounds and music. That examination includes the basics of drawing from your environment to create a character through using creative imagination to get into character with music that includes: the fundamentals of unconscious awareness, the psychology of music: rhythm and movement, and creating kairos moments out of various ambience, character study/analysis, character movement, voice/diction, dialogue, characterization, and imparting positive psychology of character strengths/virtues to not just develop a character but help teach your audience also. This course experiences the process of developing a character with a song and ambience from concept to stage to workshop/showcase/perform.

The Terminal Objectives: As a result of successfully mastering this acting technique, the actor will be able to do the following:
1. Demonstrate an ability to act, react, and create a character in a specific situation, going off of the environment and ambience or music, without any hesitation or reluctance on his or her part.
2. Demonstrate a knowledge of psychology of music, how pleasant sounds promote and annoying sounds impede health in a cognitive approach, practicing conscious awareness in a rehearsal or improvisational remote VOX acting scene.
3. Define and utilize objective, action, given circumstances, emotional recall, ‗magic if‘, dramatic function, super objective/spine of character and why a character as the urge to move for every action or reaction to what is heard.
4. Prepare and participate in scripted at-home VOX scenes, on-location scenes, and ambience sound reactions.
5. Discuss the relationship of having peace with Jesus and no peace without Jesus to the acting process
They say you can tell the type of actor one is by their favorite song because most actors listen to a particular song before a performance that gets them in the mood. So, with that in mind, can a character be developed out of the mood/emotion of the atmosphere that music creates?
For example, every time young actor Ethan Thomas Jung hears the Marvel theme song, I just start moving. Could this be getting him into character of an action role that pulls out what he didn't have in mind to play?
Another time the same actor was relaxing on the porch, listening to music while it was raining that was probably because the atmosphere created when he started coding in school that day that resulted in a love of playing around with coding. Could this have pulled out something that he didn't know he had in mind that lead to getting him into the character of a snooping little kid who lives to snoop, but also sometimes to ask questions of the suspicious adults or those who may have seen or heard something important, and try to piece together what happened as a kid detective role?
According to the European Commission DG Environment News Alert Service from SCU, The University of the West of England, Bristol said that "Sounds affect our state of mind differently depending on whether they are pleasant or annoying. In a theoretical study, researchers developed a model for exploring human responses to sound. Their work may help us to better understand the health impacts of long-term exposure to noise, as well as the potential benefits of spending time in quiet spaces. It seems clear that there are health benefits to living in a quiet, pleasant environment. But the researchers wanted to consider what ‘quiet’ actually means. Within policy contexts, ‘quiet’ may be interpreted as meaning little or no noise. However, other interpretations may have less to do with sound levels than with a lack of disturbances in a given location or a level of control that people feel they have over the sounds. While pleasant, natural sounds make us feel calm and safe and allow us to remain in a tranquil state of mind, sudden ‘loud’ and ‘annoying’ sounds made by machines or other people may force us out of this tranquil state and become the focus of our attention. We may even have evolved—like other animals—to pay attention to the annoying sounds, because they indicate danger. People can become finely attuned to the sounds that most disturb them, heightening their annoyance. In the same way, an absence of pleasant sounds may also put us on high alert, because it offers no guarantees of safety. After reviewing existing studies on the way that people react to pleasant and annoying sounds, the authors developed their own model which focuses on the influence of sound on ‘mind states’. The model draws on theories from different disciplines, including psychology and neurobiology. They describe four possible states of mind: (1) maximally restoring (sleep); (2) restoring; (3) effortful (requiring focused attention); and (4) inefficient and more effortful. When we are in environments that make us feel safe, according to the model, our state of mind is restorative. Therefore, in the second, ‘restoring’ waking state, we have freedom in our thinking and behaviour. However, if we feel threatened by our environment, we have to pay more attention to it and—in the authors’ fourth state—switch constantly between thoughts about the tasks we’re trying to get on with and potential external threats. Continually being in this state of high alert and carrying out such mental switching means not only that we can’t focus on specific thoughts, but that we miss out on the restorative benefits of free thinking. These various states of mind may be strongly influenced by the ‘soundscapes’ (acoustic environments) we are exposed to. However, the researchers also think that people may benefit from changes in soundscapes - from spending time in lively places as well as quiet places. They say a diversity of acoustic environments is preferable over more uniform acoustic environments that comply with certain legal noise limits. Such an approach might also be less costly than trying to keep sound levels uniformly low."
With that said, if sounds affect our state of mind and determine how our body will react to the environment that we have been placed in with that sound, then sounds can be used as a method in creating a fully rounded and three-dimensional level character.
After all, acting is choices. Acting is listen and reacting, you really have to listen to and understand the other character; as its what you do when you're not speaking that makes you appeal interesting and brilliant. Actors listen and respond as for every action there's a reaction for the end result of you getting your objective or not; as it is in life I might like what happens to me but I can choose how I can respond to it in such a way that it makes me better and win-win regardless of the situation you're in. So, an actor can play a different reaction to the same action heard.

Silence is by far the best atmosphere because it's where our mind goes and what our mind creates to try to make sense out of what we are going through that makes us believe and behave in that moment seem real. For an example, solitary confinement and a 6 x 9: A virtual experience of solitary confinement that the Guardian offers for us to walk in the shoes of a prisoner.
The Solitary Confinement Project
Now put yourself in this exercise: You're in a solitary confinement cell generally that measures from 6ft x 9ft to 8ft x 10ft. It doesn't have bars, but concrete walls and a solid metal door with the only light source beaming in from a small, narrow safety glass window; it's freezing cold. Meals generally come through a slot in the door, as do any communications with prison staff. Within this cell, you live in enforced idleness, denied the opportunity to work or attend prison programmes. Sometimes, you are banned from having televisions, radios, art supplies and even reading materials in your cell. As being in this silent atmosphere of solitary confinement takes a toil on your mental well-being that induces psychiatric disorder characterized by hypersensitivity to external stimuli, hallucinations, panic attacks, cognitive deficits, obsessive thinking, paranoia, and a litany of other physical and psychological problems; thus, you experience high rates of anxiety, nervousness, obsessive rumination, anger, violent fantasies, nightmares, trouble sleeping, as well as dizziness, perspiring hands and heart palpitations. Although, that's a horrible scene to play out; it's also makes a brilliant entertaining scene to watch an actor showcase through a character in a movie or on a stage. Now preform the scene with and without a soliloquy/monologues (dramatic, romance, comedy, musical, suspense, thriller, action, etc…) and see what happens.
Exploring more on solitary confinement:
What’s it like to spend 23 hours a day in a cell measuring 6x9 feet for days, weeks, months or even years? 6x9 is the Guardian's first virtual reality experience, which places you inside a US solitary confinement prison cell and tells the story of the psychological damage that can ensue from isolation.
You start seeing figures in the paint chips, and hear thing that aren't there in the natural.
What are conditions like? Life in solitary confinement means up to 24 hours a day in a cell. People held in disciplinary segregation in federal prisons, for example, typically spend two days a week entirely in isolation and 23 hours a day in their cell for the remaining five days, with one hour outside for exercise. Exercise usually takes place alone in an exercise room or a fenced or walled “dog run”. Some prisoners are escorted, in shackles, to the shower, while others have showers within their cells. They may not be allowed to leave their cells for visits or to make telephone calls.
What are the psychological effects? A study involving extensive interviews with people held in the security housing units at Pelican Bay prison in North California in 1993 found that solitary confinement induces a psychiatric disorder characterised by hypersensitivity to external stimuli, hallucinations, panic attacks, cognitive deficits, obsessive thinking, paranoia, and a litany of other physical and psychological problems. Psychological assessments of men in solitary confinement at Pelican Bay indicated high rates of anxiety, nervousness, obsessive rumination, anger, violent fantasies, nightmares, trouble sleeping, as well as dizziness, perspiring hands and heart palpitations.
After a month in segregation, I emerged gaunt and scared of everything. I was so thin that inmates thought I’d been away getting some type of chemotherapy. The isolation of solitary confinement – getting away from the shouts and chaos of the general inmate population – is almost a relief, for about the first 20 minutes.
realize your unlimited creativity in every limited space
Creative Imagination is the method wherein unique concepts are generated, particularly whenever this doesn't appear to be accountable merely by the blending of present concepts. Our creative imagination. The key understanding about our creative imagination. The gift in our creative imagination. Metaphoric aspects of mind’s characterization. Using our creative imagination. Sorting out what our reality can and can’t support. Visualization and our creative imagination. The bottom line on our creative imaginationArtists can go to a level of vision that can often save us from a situation which seems to have no solution whatsoever. It is your ability as a creative person to envision positive change that will make a difference, inspite of whatever sound you are hearing that is trying to conform you into being something you hadn't see. Ferlic K once said that "We each have the ability to access the unseen realms of Creation and explore in ways our mind cannot often logically understand. We do so simply by how we choose to focus our attention and awareness and realize what we experience will be determined by the environment in which we find ourselves and the awareness which lies within what we feel. That is, different environments will give us a different experience for the same focus of our attention and awareness."
Practicing Creative Imagination
Creative Imagination is the source of Divine Inspiration
"Everything that has ever been created was first imagined. Thanks to our ability to imagine, we have created paintings, sculptures, poetry, and arthitectures ... from the realm of imagination sprang every technological miracle, enabling us to master nature, develop communication systems, explore the planet, and conquer space. Creative imagination is the means of communing with the creator and receiving inspiration. The verb inspire comes from the Latin inspirare, which means 'to breathe into something.' From the same verb comes the word spirit, which, in essence, means 'breath.' Inspiration then is the experience of being filled with spirit or being filled with the Creators 'breath' that moves us to bring forth divine ideas to reality. For the ancient Greeks, engaging in creative imagination was a religious ritual, performed with great reverence. It started with a prayer to the muse, the nine deity-protectors of the arts, letters, and sciences, daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne ('memory'). Their leader was Apollo, The patron of reason, music, and harmony, whose help was also traditionally invoked. Authors and historians, muscians and poets, playwrights and actors, astronomers and philosophers, dancers and sacred lyricists always began their work by praying for inspiration. The ideas that followed the prayer were the divine answers and the second part of the ritual. The third part was following and developing the ideas through creative work. Two perennial truths about our intention toward creative imagination: (1) creative imagination requires total surrender and patience in order to produce ideas. (2) Sometimes creative imagination produces ideas that may seem crazy; instead of judging them, we must apply them using common sense.
Using Creative Imagination for Fulfillment
Creative imagination not only offers inspiration for creative output, but it can also guide your personal growth. Learning how to use it for inner-mentoring can help you develop inner-strength, resolve daily problems, overcome personal crisis, and face the unknown as you tackle life's new phases.
Using Creative Imagination for Inner-Strength: A Testimony
Story One -
"No innocent man should meet a fate as unfair as that of Giusppe Conlon. A good Irishman who lived in Belfast, loved his family, and practiced his religion, he was never prepared for the tragedy that befell him late in life. In 1974 he was wrongly accused of being involved in an IRA bombing of two pubs in Guilford, England, that killed several people. Also implicated were his son, Gerry Conlon, two other family members, and three of his son's friends. Coerced by the British police to confess to crimes they had never committed, the 'Guilford Four' - Giuseppe, his son, and two of his son's friends - were sentenced to life imprisonment. During their sentencing, the judge declared that it was unfortunate that Britain no longer had the death penalty. Guiseppe spent his last fifteen years in a prison cell, where he finally died of a heart attack. His story is told in Gerry Conlon's autobiography, on which the film 'In the Name of the Father' is based. The film adds dramatic effect to the documented facts by showing Giuseppe sharing the same cell with his son. As they live in the continued space, we watch them develop an intense and touching relationship in which Giuseppe's character shines radiantly. Modeling faith and inner strength for his son, he challenges Gerry to keep alive his inner freedom using the power of his mind. As his son laments his life inside the stifling cell, Giuseppe says, 'All they've done is block out the light.' Then pointing to his head, he adds, 'They can't block out the light in here.' Giuseppe's secret lies in his ability to use creative imagination. Seeing his end approach, he confesses to his son how he stayed strong after all those years in prison. 'Listen,' he tells Gerry, 'every night I take your mother's hand in mine. We go out the front door, into cyprus, down the Falls Road, up the Antrim Road to Cave Hill. We look back down on poor, troubled Belfast.' And looking straight into his son's eye's, he says, 'I've been doing that every night for five years now. As if I never left your mother.' This is how Giuseppe's character never broke under his ruthless fate. Thanks to his creative imagination, he kept his inner horizons endless, and inspite of being confined to a small, dark cell, his spirit continued to soar. His daily mental routine of connecting with his wife protected his inner freedom and saved his dignity as an innocent man. Seeing her in his mind's eye and feeling her love everyday nourished his soul and kept intact his capacity to love himself, his son, and his life. Giuseppe's mythical character is based on the life of a real person whose myth survived long after death. The real Giuseppe didn not leave the legacy of a great inventor, an artist, or a visionary politician who enjoyed fame or profit thanks to his creative imagination. His own creative imagination served as the source of a free inner life when his external freedom was taken away. Thanks to his ability to draw on the power of his inner intelligence, this simple man coped admirably with a dreadful reality that he could not change. His life was not one of privilege and material success but an example of how a person can successfully keep the inner light shining amidst external darkness, never knowing when the darkness will end" (Maria Grace).
Story Two -
"There are people like Giuseppe everywhere in the world. They are men, women, and children who survive ruthless conditions by keeping their spirit free, thanks to their ability to imagine freedom. One of them is Jennie, a former client of Maria Grace, with whom she worked with for two years, helping her overcome a fear of intimacy and forgive her mother for a difficult childhood. Jennie's father died when she was four, leaving her mother alone to raise Jennie and her two brothers. Her mother held sporadic jobs and depended on the support of relatives and occasional boyfriends who never stayed longer than six months. Jennie remembers his mothers going through regular bouts of depression followed by periods of hyperactivity. When she was depressed, she would stay in bed, sleeping or watching television. When she was hyperactive she would get short-tempered and violent towards her children, especially Jennie. To cope with the pain of growing up in such an environment, Jennie began imagining that her real mother was another woman, from whom she had been separated at birht due to a doctor's mistake. When she first imagined this story, she was six years old. She continued to believe it as true until she was thirteen. Over the years, as the relationship with her real mother grew more difficult, the bond with her imaginary mother became unbreakable. The mother of Jennie's fantasy had all the qualities a child needs from a guardian in order to feel accepted, protected, and loved: she was kind, available, affectionate, and always present. For years Jennie kept a drawinf of her underneath her pillow, and she talked to it before falling asleep. Later, she started clipping photographs of women who, according to her, looked like her imaginary mother, and from these she made an album that she named 'my mom's faces.' One Christmas Eve, her real mother had one of her violent tantrums and tore that album to pieces. Beginning that night and for the following four years, Jennie wrote hundreds of letters to her imaginary mother, asking for love, help, and support. As she finished each letter, Jennie read it to herself, and then she wrote the response to her own pleas on behalf of her inmaginary mother. She never kept the letters, fearing her mother's violent reaction if they were discovered. Instead, she memorized and then destroyed them, saving in her memory the echo of her 'other' mother's words. By keeping this extraordinary correspondence active, Jennie survived years of emotional neglect and abuse, until her mother was finally hospitalized and Jennie moved in with a relative. Jennie knew that her emotional scars would take time to heal. Embracing the past and forgiving her mother were bold tasks, and she often felt intimidated by the healing process. Her turning point was when she stopped judging the imaginary game of her childhood and saw its crucial value for emotional development. Jennie realized that engaging in creative imagination as a child was her only means of staying resilient in a severely dyfunctional environment. Her next step in therapy was to learn how to exercise the qualities of her imaginary mother in nurturing her emotional needs, and to develop relationships that honored her"
Using Creative Imagination to Overcome Crisis and Tackle Life:
"In his mid-thirties, Allan Felix is a married, mild-mannered film critic living in New York City. His personality is not what you would call exciting nor are his looks considered dashing. He is a small man with big glasses and red hair that never stays combed. When he does not think, talk, or write about movies, he ruminates about his unattractiveness and inability to be an exciting lover. One day two years into his marriage, Allan's wife announces, 'I need to laugh really hard and go skying. I want a divource. Unable to free her from boredom, Allen lets her go. The next morning, he wakes up with the painful realization that he is, once again, a bachelor. Even though he feels unbearably lost and too inadequate to attract women, he knows that he must learn how to date all over again. So he seeks the best advice he can get from a man who has all charisma, rugged virility, and power that he feels he lacks. That man is Humphrey Bogart, starring as the tough, cynical loner Rick Blaine in 'Casablanca.' Faced with the challenge of tackling bachelorhood anew, Allen Summons Boart as his inner mentor and embarks on a real journey of personal growth that leads to self-love. Allan, the hero of the comedy ' Play It Again, Sam,' is a self-inhibited feeling-phobic man who is helped by his imagination to talk risks and blossom in the real world. As Boart mentors him on the strategies of a great lover, Allan dreads and resists the process as he struggles to reconcile the two realms. "Tell her she's beautiful! Go on, kiss her. Go on!" Bogart prods him in his fantasy, while a panicky, hysterical Allan struggles to combat his fear and take action with the woman in front of him. His clumsiness as he tries to emulate the qualities of the mythical Bogart is so funny that it can make us laugh until we cry. Allan's journey takes him through several failed attempts to convince various women of his animal magnetism, until he realizes that he is in love with Linda, his best friend's wife. As he faces the dilemma of whether or not to consummate his love for her, he tackles the most important challenges of his journey: to expose his feelings to Linda, not knowing if she will leave her marriage to be with him. Allan responds to the challenge and does not regret his choice. The experience helps him conquer his fears and affirm his masculinity, as he expresses his emotions and fully accepts himself. In 'Play It Again, Sam,' we see how a movie star can be a very powerful inner figure who can inspire us to grow as people. In Maria Grace's practice, she has often helped clients address personal issues using their favorite movie character as inner mentors. One of them, Elena is a client who turned her fascination with a movie star into a mentoring experience that gave her guidance, confidence, and clarity about her patterns with men. Elena asked for Maria's help following her breakup with Greg, who was her boyfriend for six years and the man she hoped to marry. At thirty-eight, Ellen had already been married once, for four years in her twenties. After her divorce, she had a series of short unsatisfying relationships, the last of which was with Greg. Elena described him as a forty-year-old, very handsome, incredibly witty, irresistibly charming man whose playfulness always made her laugh. They both like the outdoors, shopping, going on cruises, and listening to jazz. But there was a problem that Ellen kept over looking: in the five years of their relationship, Greg had changed jobs eight times and could not commit to marriage. His constant refrain was that he needed more time to find his purpose in life and explore life in other countries. Their last trip, to prague, was the best vacation they had ever taken. For ten days, Greg enchanted everyone and gave Elena endless delight. But the spell broke two hours before they were to leave for the airport to return home. Elena was packing their luggage when Greg held her by the shoulders, looking into her eyes, and gravely announced that he would not be returning home with her. He said he was instead staying in Prague indefintely to 'check out the European way of living.' At first, she thought she was dreaming, but her nightmare was real: Greg was breaking up with her and sending her to the airport alone. When she returned, Elena discovered that Greg's decision to stay in Europe was not spontaneous. Not only had he been planning it for monthsbut his scheme included Elena's close friend Marisa, with whom he had begun an affair while still involved with Elena. Every thing became clear when Marisa announced a job transfer to Czechoslovakia a few weeks after Elena broke up with Greg, followed by a confession that she and Greg were going to live together. This news devastated Elena but also as her wake up call. For the first time, she saw that instead of blaming Greg for 'what he did to her,' she should examine her own patterns and see how she had contributed to her own unhappiness. As Maria Grace had got to know Elena better, she realized that she had a fascination for actors with the same attributes she had described in Greg. During one session, she confessed that she had a huge crush on the actor George Clooney. 'How huge? Maria Grace asked. 'I dream of him very often, I think of him at work, I read everything that mentions his name, I own all his movies, and I fantasizes that someday I'll run into him and he'll be my boyfriend. In the meantime, I am jealous of all the women he's kissed on-screen, and I hate his current girlfriend. I hope he'll never marry her!' She said in one breath. 'Indeed, this sounds like a crush,' I agreed, unable to hide my chuckle. But at the same time, I saw how I could help Elena use her fascination with George Clooney to transform her patterns with men, 'so, until you meet George in real life, you get involved with men who are like him?' I asked. 'How did you know?' She answered. 'Yes, the guys I fall for are a lot like him, but not exactly like him. They're cute and funny and very adorable at the beginning, but they ultimately break my heart.' 'And how is George Clooney different? I asked. 'Deep down he's sensitive,' She answered. 'He may tell the press that he like his freedom and that he's commitment phobic, but with me he would be different. He would never hurt me like this.' 'Then, if he's so present in you, why don't you ask him to help you see what you do to get hurt by men in reality? I asked her. 'What do you mean? Start having counseling sessions with George Clooney in my mind?' She reacted, her eyes wide open. 'Well, you do talk to him in your fantasies don't you?' 'To tell you the truth, I do.' Then why don't you let George Clooney talk back and answer the questions you cannot solve on your own? He may have some interesting points,' I encouraged her. Elena followed my suggestion an began to practice creative imagination. Because the persona of George Clooney was very active to her, it did not take her long to receive the answers she needed. Over time, his image in Elena's fantasy was transformed from an object of obsession to an inner mentor who helped her see how her choices led to repeated heartbreaks. One day during session, Elena said, 'He's telling me I need to grow up.' 'What do you mean?' I asked. 'George says that I have to take responsibility for my weak spots regarding men and protect myself,' she responded calmly. 'And what are your weak spots?' I prompted. 'I like being seduced by charm, but I forget that much more important needs from a relationship with a sense of security. I have never felt secure in a relationship. All the men in my life were charmers; they kept me enchanted, stimulated, fascinated, but no one made me feel secure. This is my weakness and I won't let it happen again,' she explained. 'So, is George advising you to beware of guys like him?' 'Yes, that is exactly what he's telling me. He says I should never give a man high points just for being charming, but should always determine whether he makes me feel secure with real actions. I know, from now on, charm is not the first thing I'll be looking for in a man.' With these words, Elena described the great breakthrough her creative imagination had catalyzed in her healing process. Using as a conduit the mythical figure of George Clooney, she had tapped into her inner intelligence and accessed valuable self-knowledge. Today Elena is aware of her patterns and her own responsibility towards her happiness she no longer sees herself as a victim of unreliable; immature men but as a self-aware woman who can make intelligent choices to avoid old mistakes"
How to Practice Creative Imagination:
"Engaging in creative imagination is a practice that follows a specific process. To do it successfully, keep in mind that for centuries in ancient times, it was performed as a sacred ritual, with great reverence and according to explicit rules. Today imagination is no longer considered the gift of Muses but is seen as a mental function studied by scientific research. However different our approach to it may be, the process of tapping into our creative imagination today follows exactly the same steps as in the Greek religion almost three millennia ago. The following steps can be taken to practice creative imagination...
(1) Define the problem you need help with.
(2) Engage in the realm of imagination, invoke the helping figures, and open
a dialogue.
(3) Read the dialogue, and apply common sense to distill its value.
(4) Take action and evaluate the outcomes
Practicing Creativity: Creative people regard creating as healing.
"Creative people are healers. They create to bring wholeness to the inevitable wounds inflicted by life. Their creative output is their answer to aggression, deprivation, unfairness, and injustice, abound in reality ... Creativity is their weapon against the afflictions of depression, boredom, or loneliness and the source of strength, courage, and hope. Creative people do not allow the burdens of life to discourage them. They create in spite of the daily pressures and dramas to conquer pain, fear, poverty, illness, and even death." - Maria Grace
"When I dance, something happens and I sort of disappear. Its hard at the beginning, but then something happens and I start flying. I feel free. I disappear into the air like a bird, like electricity. Yeah, like electricity." - Billy Elliot from 'Billy Elliot' movie
Billy's wholeness is in his dance.
"The creative process brings wholeness not only to the creative agent but also to those who commune with the creative outcome."
Disturbed minds know how to get out of their mind and into another persona

Adopt a Mental Disorder under an Imaginary Situation for a day
One thing about acting is you get to walk in someone else's shoes without paying the price.
First things first, what is it like to have a mental illness?
Mental illness symptoms can affect emotions, thoughts and behaviors. Examples of signs and symptoms include: Sometimes symptoms of a mental health disorder appear as physical problems, such as stomach pain, back pain, headaches, or other unexplained aches and pains.
This Is What It Feels Like To Have Schizophrenia
An experience by by avibagla
There is a young adult named Autumn. She's an artist, and was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2015.
She says she can identify two particular voices that she used to hear from her past.
Autumn said one voice called her name multiple times, while another told her to go to places.
Auditory hallucinations are just one of the things people with schizophrenia may experience.
Hairam and Daniel started the auditory hallucination simulations, and after just minutes, Daniel found it extremely hard to concentrate.
Meanwhile, Hairam noticed she couldn't get sentences out as she heard all the voices in her head. It was hard to put words together and explain what she was thinking.
The next day, Daniel said he could still hear some of the negative phrases he kept hearing in the auditory simulation, like "you eat shit" or "you stink."
He noticed all those negative thoughts had really affected him.
Hairam said she discovered how difficult it is to hear through the voices, and it wore her out.
She also said it was a totally eye-opening experience that made her feel closer to her brother.
Now, its your turn to put yourself in someone who suffers from schizophrenia.
As you are going about your day listening to the Auditory Hallucination Simulation, try doing these activities: Meditation, eating breakfast, reading a book, talking to a friend, eating lunch, playing a video game, going shopping, eating dinner, watching TV, trying to go to sleep, and any other thing you might think of that you would do in your day-to-day routine.
After this exercise ask yourself... Why It's Important To Put Yourself In Someone Else's Shoes?
Open your eyes as theirs—what do you think they see?
Have you ever been in a position where you don’t know how to feel about a situation? Why not try to put yourself in someone else’s shoes?
How easy was it for you to do so? It wasn’t easy for me.
Some people are able to channel their thoughts and feelings with ease, able to change how they think and feel with a snap of a finger; however, for other people, you really have to dig deep, to look deeply into their eyes and uncover their soul one piece at a time. You learn their past, their values, their view of the world, and hopefully, you learn to accept it.
And that’s the easy part—the hard part is using that new knowledge of someone’s mind and soul in order to begin to understand not only the person but the way in which they see the world and thereby make decisions.
To really get into their shoes, you need to try and see the world through their eyes. Start off with yourself; how do you think they would see you? What would they notice first? Your eyes? Your smile? Your personality? Your past history? Would they look at you with love or hate?
Open your eyes as theirs—what do you think they see? Would they see the Earth’s flowers as a beautiful creation that smell divine or do they see them as just another organism in this world? Would they walk passed them without blinking an eye or would they take their time and envelop themselves with the beauty of it all?
Putting yourself into these simple situations as another person can tell you a lot about how that other person sees the world. How they make decisions. How they react to situations. And the reasons why they behave, speak, and think as they do. From there, you’ll be able to understand the situation occurring between you two better and be able to work through it with ease.
It seems so hard to be able to put yourself in those situations because each person has had a different upbringing; each person has had thousands of choices to make and there is no way that each choice would be the exact same as the next person.
It even differs with family and friends—just find a friend or family member and have them write down “heads” and “tails” twenty times on a piece of paper in whatever order you both choose, and you do the same.
Then, compare the results. See if they are in the exact same order—there is a 50/50 chance of the results being the same every time, but the chances of them all being the same is highly unlikely.
Even small differences as this demonstrate the varying ways in which all humans think and perceive the world and its situations.
So, the next time you are put into a positon where you don’t understand where a person is coming from, remember that their mind differs from yours. You don’t necessarily have to agree, but it’s important to step into each other’s shoes in order to understand the other person and support them no matter what.
You are each your own person with your own minds, and that’s OK—everyone has the right to think differently. So continue living life from your perspective as long as you remember to understand others. Especially, those who suffer from Auditory Hallucinations out of their environment with sounds that they have to try to focus on apart from the voices heard or environmental sounds they try to press-on to ignore with the voices that are heard while trying to accomplish a task.
Where the Mind goes the Man Follows
Your thoughts have the power to call things that be not as though they were
SOUND and GLORY
E=MC2
"Even Einstein’s theory of relativity connects to the creation story. Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was a Jewish scientist who thoroughly studied the first five books of the Bible that most Jews of his day knew well.He was fascinated by the creation account especially as a scientist. His theory in simplified terms: E is energy and M is mass or substance. Basically Einstein concluded that energy is real, even though it is invisible to the naked eye. One example of energy is electricity. Though you cannot see it,you know it is real when you turn on a light or turn off the television. Energy can also be experienced through the presence, glory, and Spirit of God.When the presence of God is felt during a time of worship, often you become energized not just spiritually but physically as well—even though you may have been exhausted only moments earlier. Suddenly, because of His presence, you are filled with physical and spiritual energy. The presence of God’s glory releases a supernatural energy and provides the potential for miracles. Energy is substance even if your eye cannot yet see it. The presence, power, Spirit and Glory of God is not an emotion that only those who are sensitive can feel. Energy is a power, a capacity for work—just like electricity and sound waves that you can’t see, but still exist"
SOUND WAVES
"Some scientists (especially those who work in string theory) believe that the smallest particle is not the electron, the neutron, or the proton—it is sound, “sound waves” or vibrating strings that have “notes.”3 When you take the smallest atom known (a neutron or a proton) and split it to its smallest form, there is one more particle inside the smallest particle—a vibrating sound wave. If this is true, and if the Genesis account is true that God used His words, or sound, to create, then I believe that sound waves are the smallest living substance unseen by the human eye that is at the core of every created thing."
"NASA scientists recently discovered that sound waves of musical harmonious notes were coming from black holes (collapsed stars); and other experiments revealed similar results from rock samples taken from outer space.5 In fact, they found that every created thing has musical sound waves imbedded in them. During the black hole study, they detected sounds emanating from the black hole.6 Why would musical sounds be produced from His creation?"
IF WALLS COULD TALK
"Recently after sharing this revelation, the following story was told to me. A little girl was having nightmares while sleeping in her bedroom. The family had just moved into the house and the girl never had nightmares before. She was able to sleep peacefully in other rooms but not in her room, even after the family had prayed several times about it. In her bedroom, she kept having the same dream about a murder and how it happened. Finally, after praying, the parents decided to call the former homeowners and find out if there was anything unusual that occurred in that room. They were told that a murder actually took place in that room and it happened exactly as the girl had seen it in her dream. The walls witnessed the murder and retold the story to the little girl in her dreams. The family prayed over the walls commanding not only the spirit of murder to leave, but also the memory of what happened there to be washed away by the blood of Jesus. The blood of the sin of murder was crying out in that situation. The Bible mentions the blood of the martyrs crying out.The actual blood of the martyrs speaks, not just the martyrs but also their blood.Again we realize that all things have a voice, and sound can be carried over time to be experienced again.
CREATING YOUR FUTURE
"The invisible world is more real than we think. In fact, it determines what occurs in our visible world. Recent studies in quantum physics have discovered that subatomic particles will begin to change form simply by being observed by humans. As in the case with water particles when they were spoken to in a certain way, they change form according to angry words, love, or other words connected with a certain emotion"
"Everything created on this earth is made up of core subatomic particles that can be altered by human observation-amazing! Just thinking about certain things immediately causes either a positive or negative effect on your body, whether it is angry thoughts releasing poisons or happy, loving thoughts releasing healing"
"If this is true, then objects in the invisible world can change or be re-created by simply being observed or even thought about. By observing sommething that is in your future and looking and thinking about it, invisible subatomic particles start to shift, causing things to come your way as they shitt from what is potential to reality. Whatever you think about and speak starts to be created"
"When you get a creative idea or inspiration and start to think about it more intensely, it is already being created. Then when you start to speak and declare that you will do this or that, the reality of it starts to speed up even faster toward fulfillment; and soon after, action follows on your behalf. Before you know it, you run into someone or get a phone call that is the open door into the very thing that started as a download into your brain-a creative thought from the Creator. You become what you think and speak about. It is even recorded in the Book of Genesis that the Creator spoke and then thìngs were created. This makes more sense today, given the scientific language and discoveries that explain how this could be possible"
YOUR BRAIN IS A RADIO TRANSMITTER
"Many do not realize that the human brain acts like a radio transmitter sending out frequencies. Have you ever thought about someone you needed to call for a few days, and suddenly he (or she) called you and said he had been thinking of you for the past three days? When the intensity of thought is strong enough, it sends a signal to other -protons, neutrons, electrons, brains. Evervthing is made of atoms-and frequencies-including thought and speech"
"If an opera singer can sing and release invisible sounds waves at a certain pitch that breaks glass, so can a strong enough thought create subatomic particles in the form of frequencies. I once heard that an experiment was conducted to prove this point. Every object has a certain frequency coming out of it. In one experiment researchers aimed radio frequencies at a bar of gold. When they measured the frequency'of the gold bar, they discovered that the vibration and frequency .of the gold changed when a radio wave or X-ray was aimed at it. Next they cxperimented witha person intensely aiming his thoughts on a gold bar. What they discovered was that after the thoughts were aimed at the gold bat, the vibration and frequency emitting from the gold bar was equally changed due to the strong thought frequency aimed at it from the brain"
"Thoughts can send out a weak signal or a strong signal. Have you ever suddenly been hit with a very heavy, dark, sad feeling and wondered why, as there was no natural situation that would have caused you to feel that way? Then shortly afterward, did you discover that someone was very upset with you and was not only intensely thinking thoughts about you but also was speaking negatīvely about you? Now you know whyyou felt that way. The reverse also occurs; you may feel a sense of excitement, as if something really good is about to happen, but you don't know why or what. A few days later, you realize that a decision had been made on your behalf that was very favorable for you. You already. received the frequency being transmitted days before actual reality hit you"
"Our brains transmit energy on different frequencies. You can transmit with as much power as you choose. When your brain transmits frequencies through your thoughts, it is picked up by other brains that have the ability to pick up such signals"
"What you think about also affects physical matter. I heard a story of a doctor who mixed up the test results of two patients. One patient had full-blown cancer and had three months to live. The other patient's tests showed he was cancer-free. The doctor accidentally switched the results. When thejman who was cancer-free was told he had three months to live, immediately his brain began to send very strong signals that indeed there was a cancer in his body. He thought about it day and night; his emotions believed it and his actions confirmed it as he planned his funeral. Within three months he actually developed terminal cancer and died"
"The other man who actually had the cancer was mistakenly told that he did not have cancer. His brain began to send signals of healing. He started to dream again of all the things in life he wanted think to accomplish. He canceled his funeral plans and began to be thank- yourful that he was healed and was a better person for it, thanking the Creator that he was given a second chance. When he was checked again three months later, the cancer had gone into remission and dsecse he was cancer-frec. Both these patients' brains released very powerful, intense, radio-type frequencies that in tufn created responses and Signals in their bodies"
"Just thinking about something that makes you angry, sad, or negative can get your immune system to start shutting down; your heart starts to beat faster, your blood rushes to your face, and negative toxins are released into your bloadtream, clogging you up just from toxic thoughts of anger, resentment, bitterness, rejection, and the like. It's not that you will never experience these thoughts, but how fast you dispose of them is the key to good mental, physical, and spiritual_health."
"Thoughts and words, if used correctly, can create situations that did not otherwise exist. One example of this was when President Ronald Reagan spoke at the Berlin Wall and uttered, "Tear down this wall!" His advisors told him those wordş should not be spoken but he did it anyway. It is said that he was also a man of prayer. Shortly afterward, the Berlin Wall was torn down"
WORDS THAT CREATE
"When your goals and destiny are observed and thought about consistently, the invisible framework starts to create circumstances for these things to become reality. Now it's time to kick it into turbo mode! Words that are spoken with absolute belief, faith, and certainty will bring unity of focus and create those things"
"If, for example, you casually say, "I will become an A-ist actor" but get your thoughts and beliefs are not congruent with what you just ion said Hligned the best shape possible, and nothing will stop me!" If they speak with total Speech or believe, this causes imbalance and hinders the visible manifestation. )"
"When you speak something that you intend to become reality, what percentage of power is in those words? Are your mind, body, passion, and focus 100 percent behind your words? Or are you speaking with maybe only 10 percent intensity of belief, thoughts, and conviction?"
"To the degree that your mind, emotions, thoughts, will, passion, and words are all congruent at the same high level of intensity, this determines the speed and probability of what you are speaking to occur"
"Basically, if you can unite your mind, body, will, emotions, and actions on a high level of energy and focus, there is not much that can stop the thing you are aiming for trom becoming reality. Even when we worship God, He asks us to worship not just with our lips but using our heart, soul (mind, will, emotions), and strength."
PASSION
"When you are totally passionate about something that you feel or know you are supposed to do or become, things will start to come your way. The level of emotion and intensity or drive is a huge determining factor in sceing it come to reality. You have to want something badly enough to do something about it. Action on your part to cooperate with your vision 'or destiny usually does not come without an intense internal force called passion"
"You can go through all the steps mechanically and still miss the mark if there is not a sense of excitement, drive, and passion in whatever you undertake to accomplish. If you could do anything in life and money was not an obịect, what would you do? Start to work toward that thing in life that naturally dřives you, and you will accomplish so much more than trying to do things that others expect of you, which do not necessarily motivate you. This is a huge secret_ to success finding your purpose in life, with passion"
"Everything produces itself after its own kind. Apple seeds produce apples; orange seeds produce oranges; and so on since the beginning of time. You have natural talents and abilities that you were born with. Start to use those gifts and talents to help others and you will have a great sense of fulfillment. This will also draw you closer to the Creator. So many people just exist and do not passionately live life to the fullest. They have not tapped into what they are destined to do or realized their natural talents, gifts, and desires; the world is waiting for their release"
BLOCKAGES
"Often we associate a certain goal with pain and suffering. Maybe the last time you were on a diet or tried to exercise, something went wrong and you ended up gaining more weight or hurting yourself at the gym. Then a book like this comes along to really help you, but you have mental and emotional nemories of past experiences that block you from taking action. Your conscious mind is saying, Yes wow, this is great!" But by the time you are about to take action, all the fears and blockages hinder your progress because of the associations with past failure"
"You have to reprogram your mind and bod. You can do this by starting to associate change with pleasure, imagining how good you will feel and looknot by what happened last time you trịed something new./Also, program your mind by remind you of a sicknesses you will avoid by starting on this new supernatural health lifestyle. The same is true for anything in lite if you can approach it in a positive light that motivates you to action"
"An example is when someone applies for a new job, or an aspiring actor auditions for a new movie or television show. Sometimes the fear due to a past rejection hinders some fromn moving on and accomplishing great things. Those who can remove the negative past associations are driven to action by the joy and accomplishment set before them once they are hired."
"Start to work from the future to the present. Imagine you already have that job, career, book published, healthy, leaner body, and so on. How do you feel now--as if you have already arrived at your greatest dream? As you start to see, imagine, feel, and enjoy right now what in the future you will be feeling, you are actually accelerating its existence-already tapping into the senses you would feel as if it already occurred"
"You don't have to wait until the future becomes a reality to actually enjoy the senses and joy of what that will be like. Your body and mind, as I mentioned before, do not know the difference between a future mental image or something occurring now. As you start to see your future and even feel the joy of that goal, you will be tapping into your futurc now! Then all the other details will start to fall into place. You will get more insight on the next step to take, and before you know it, you will become what you already started to think about and enjoy"
START Now
"As you take your first step, the next step will be clearer as things and the right people and connections start coming your way. Create your future now and bring it into the present by enjoying, celebrating, and seeing yourself already there"
If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it. [William Arthur Ward]
THOUGHTS
by David Herzog, 'Glory Invasion'
Your mind and thoughts - Just as you are what you eat, you also are what you think. They way you see yourself is who you become. Every action is based first on a thought. Once your thoughts start to change - about yourself and life - your life starts to change. Actions are the result of thoughts To see change, you need to allow your thoughts to be conditioned. Take control of your thought and do not allow any thought to dominate your life. Just as raw food has an energy force, thoughts are so powerful that they release energy - good or bad - depending on the thought. Your mind treated it as a fact any strange daydream or dream. As you see images in your mind or on a movie screen, your body reacts to them positively or negatively. Living in a constant state of mood or emotion whem we are thinking about things that make the mind go to the places we follow as a product of the environment we're placed in. We are a product of our environment, depending on how we allow our environment to make us think about ourselves.
Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude. Stepping a little closer to glory means realizing how important your thoughts are. Just as you are what you eat, you also are what you think. The way you see yourself is who you become. Every action is based first on a thought Once your thoughts start to change about yourself and God, and life your life starts to change. Because actions are the results of thoughts, to see change you need to allow your thoughts to be conditioned in a way that will bring you maximum results in every area of your life. You need to take control of your thoughts and not allow just any thoughts to dominate your life. That's why it's key to renew your mind. Just as raw food has an energy force, thoughts are so powerful that they release energy good or bad-depending on the thoughts. When you get a strange dream of someone chasing you or trying to hurt you, your heart beats faster and you wake up feeling exhausted, as if it really happened. Your mind treated it as fact. As a man] thinks in his heart, so is he -King Solomon (Proverbs 23:7).
When you watch an intense, action-filled movie, you're sending the same signals to your body as if you were in the Car Speed chase; this causes reactions in your stress levels, hearing and so on. Your body does not differentiate between whether at you are seeing is reality or simply a movie or dream. As you see the mind sends car on the high heartbeat. Images in your mind can cause your body to react to them posittively or negatively. Thoughts are creatve iA nature, and if thoughts are consistent enough they start to manifest into reality. he more you think and focus on a particular thing, the more it will become a reality. When you start to think about something negative, like how you will pay your bills, or if you will get evicted from your home, or lose your job, your body suddenly starts to release toxins into your bloodstream that affect your heart rate, arteries, energy, immune system, and many other things. Thoughts of anger, rejection, fear, or bitterness all produce negatve -effeets-an your body and your peace and joy releasing dangerous toxins into vour body. Just thinking about certain negative things can adversely affect your life and your health. Negative thoughts put you in a downward spiral; and when so much energy is devoted to these thoughts, you can at times feel worn-out and depleted to thiak and act on positive thoughts that build you up and drive yeu-to achievement, solutions, and supernatural health. When people too often think negative thoughts, others can sense that, and it drains them as well. People tend to distance themselves from those who speak, think, and act negatively. When people live in a constant-state of fear and anxiety, this depletes the immune system. Such people get sick much faster than those who don't live and think this way. Start to think on things that are helpful, exciting, positive, and energizing! Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, wbatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report.
Speech
by David Herzog, 'Glory Invasion'
Speech and sounds, though invisible to thenaked eye, are real objects. If an opera singer can sing at a high pitch and break glass, then it is a tiny object-like a pebble--but smaller. At high speeds or frequencies, it can pierce through another object. Scientists call these "sound waves. Sound waves created by speech are so small that if you were to divide the smallest particles and atoms into some of the smallest forms inside them, at their core you would find vibrating sound waves called quarks. These sound waves are embedded in everything on the earth, including rocks, food, trees, and everything ever ereated. This means that speech waslone of the first ingredients that created everything else you see and the invisible things you don't see. This also means that these şounds waves can be altered and respond to other sound waves or speech. Albęrt Einstein's theory of relativity explains it well, as he was way ahead of his time. As previously mnentioned, his theory, in simplified terms, defines E as energy, and M as matter or substance. Basically, Einstein concluded that energy is real and is considered matter even though it is invisible to the naked eye. You cannot see electricity, but you know it is real when you turn on a light and see its effect. Likewise, thoughts and speech release energy. So when you think and speak certain things, you are actually releasing matter or creating things good or bad.
Food affects thoughts
by David Herzog, 'Glory Invasion'
When your daily diet consists mostly of eating foods that are not natural, the dead foods that you eat that are not energy foods will start to drain you and make you feel less energized. This feeling of being drained leads to grouchiness, negative thoughts, and complaints. So what yol cat does affect your thoughts eventually. And your thoughts affect what you eat. For instance, a lack of an amino acid called tryptophan can lead to depression. Tryptophan is found in foods such as turkey. That is why people feel a sense of contentment and are relaxed after the large Thanksgiving turkey meal. Salmon, tuna, and lamb also contain tryptophan. Even better are raw, high-protein foods such as spinach, kale, berries, spirulina, chlorella, blue-green algae, and other foods. Through cooking, tryptophan is destroyed, as it is sensitive to heat. Meats contain this amino acid, but if you eat only cooked meat and potatoes (a bad combination for digestion), the amino acid is destroyed. Start incorporating lots of raw foods into your diet and see the difference it makes! For in tablet more intormation on healthy eating and a healthier lifestyle, which can affect you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, read my book, Natural to Super Natural Health. When your thoughts are in order, and vour physical body and spiritual life are in good shape and working in sync, you are then ready to accept your God-given future as He has designed it for you. You are now capable of co-creating your future in God by speaking, thinking, desiring, praying and acting on what you know your destiny is!
YOUR MIND AND THOUGHTS

Just as you are what you cat, you also are what you think. The way you see yourself is who you become. Every action is based first on a thought. As you see images in your mind or on a movie screen, your body reacts to them positively or negatively. Are you iving in a constant state of fear and anxiety, which depletes your immune system? Will you commit to thinking about thịngs that are helpful, exciting, positive, and energizing?
VISUALIZATION
by David Herzog, 'Glory Invasion'
When you see yourself as achieving great health and joy, thinking the best of people, and having other positive thoughts, these thoughts release a rejuvenation of your cells, and your health improves. If you start to see yourself in great internal and external shape, your mind will send a signal to your body that helDs you achieve this or any other goal. If you think there is no way, then that is what you will get. Most sickness can be a result of wrong thinking that leads to wrong actions, about food choices or emnotional patterns, which in turn lead to. sickness. You need to take full control of what you allow to enter your mind. If it is a negative thought, quickly replace it with a positive thought of someone who told you that he or she loved you, or when your baby was born, or anything positive that happened in your life. You bave to take negative thoughts captive and then send them on their way. Everything you see around vou was first created in someone's mind and then came into manifested reality. You are what you think have a positive attitude about yourself? What are you visualizing about about and how you see yourself. How do you see yourself? Do you yourself right now?
FOCUS
by David Herzog, 'Glory Invasion'
Focus on things that are noble and positive. You always movegtoward what you focus on. Focus on how you will feel when you achieve this or that dream or goal. Once you start to imagine how you will feel, you actually will tap into the joy and satisfaction of a future event before it happens, Your mind and body can't always tell if what you are thinking is in the present or futurc, but start to cause your body, spirit, and everxthing clse to react now ing to the positive goal you are thinking about, whether it be present, future, or past. As you strongly focus more on what you are aiming for, your brain will start to work overtime to find the solution in your subconscious proper environment to receive them. Your mind is like a memory card that only has so much memory on it. Is your mind full of stress and negative things? How quickly can you delete it all and receive a fresh download from above?
DESIRE
by David Herzog, 'Glory Invasion'
What you think about often leads to stronger desires. When you consistent thinking and desire, they start to manifest into reality. The stronger your desire, the faster you will act on it. May gain, it all starts with thoughts. If you casually desire to be in good health but are not motivated enough to act on it, then your desire needs to be increased to spur you to action. If you strongly desire chocolate chip cookies because of a television commercial, you may run to the store and buy some. As mentioned previously, thoughts and visuals have an effect on your body, mind, and spirit. See your future and destiny favorably and think positively about vour life. Believe in the truth that God has a perfect plan for you-believe it, Are you willing to think this way a consistent basis attracting the necessities, connections, and resources.
GETTING INTO CHARACTER WITH MUSIC
He turned into a different character when he played music and it snapped him out of being an introvert and into an outrovert. Example: Movie, Baby Driver (2017)
"In our Genius Character Reveals series we examine scenes and moments where a film or TV show reveals a tremendous amount of character information in a compressed amount of screen time. This instalment focuses on Baby (Ansel Elgort), the eponymous protagonist of BABY DRIVER" (ref. Industrial Scripts).
Who is Baby?
He’s a young man who goes by ‘Baby,’ although whether that’s his actual name or a nickname that references his youthful looks is unclear.
He’s also an orphan, living with his deaf foster father. He works as a getaway driver for Doc (Kevin Spacey), a criminal kingpin who puts together bank robberies.
But, most unusually of all, he’s never seen without his earbuds, listening to music on his classic iPod.
How is Baby’s character revealed by action & dialogue?
A red Subaru pulls up to a bank. A hand scrolls an classic black iPod. Bellbottoms by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion plays.
Baby, the owner of the iPod and driver of the car, looks at his passengers (Jon Hamm among them).
They get out of the car and head to the bank as Baby sings and dances along to the song.
The robbers return with their money and Baby speeds away in a daring escape.
What do we learn about Baby?
Like Cosmo Lawlor, Baby loves music but in a specific way. His enthusiasm for it bridges being both cool and a dork.
His singing and dancing along in his car seat are undeniably goofy, but he doesn’t care who might see or laugh at him. Baby’s joy at the song is infectious. It doesn’t matter if the audience share his (or Edgar Wright’s) taste in music exactly, it’s still enjoyable.
In this way, Baby clearly doesn’t fit with his passengers who are hardened criminals. This is reinforced by the squeamishness he shows at signs of violence and how he freezes at the sound of sirens.
Overall, however, he’s confident in himself and his abilities, and with good reason. Baby gets results.
He does the unexpected, reversing when the bank robber next to him expects him to speed forwards. He’s quick-thinking and thinks laterally, taking advantage of the two similar red cars on the freeway when he sees them.
He’s also lucky that those red cars were there in the first place. This, along with the way the bank robbers move choreographed to the music, indicates that we’re seeing the world through Baby’s eyes. This world is musical and slightly fantastical, a retro throwback where these kind of coincidences happen simply because they are cool.
But what happens when cool isn’t enough and the real world, whatever that is, catches up to Baby?
Why is this an example of brilliantly succinct screenwriting?
BABY DRIVER is an example of how to start an action movie right. It’s an exciting and visual action scene that’s immediately easy to understand.
The action has been choreographed (and in this case, scored) on the page first, because like so many of the best action scenes, these choices reveal character.
While the bank robbers might be tough and violent, their lives are clearly in Baby’s hands, and this is the power dynamic that causes a great deal of the film’s conflict.
This scene also sets up a small character mystery that’s answered in a later dialogue scene. The other characters echo the audience’s questions – who is this Baby and what’s the deal with the earbuds?
He had an accident when he was a kid. Still has a hum in the drum. Plays music to drown it out. And that’s what makes him the best.
Doc then explains Baby’s tinnitus, that he listens to music to help him concentrate and drive, and the film gradually shows more of his backstory. Eventually, the audience come to understand what else makes Baby tick and where he’s vulnerable.
Rather than giving the audience exposition straight away, this opening scene first makes the audience want this information.
This first scene perfectly establishes the contradiction in the film’s title. He’s a kid. His name is literally Baby. Baby, like babies, appears nonthreatening in every way. But put him behind the wheel and watch out…
So you can use music/environment as the reflection of your mood/emotion and create the character from there.
"How does it go right visualize this inner life that often goes unseen most obviously there is this use of music aside from the narrative reason for babies constant need to listen to music he's got tinnitus you know what tinnitus 24 hours a day it is also used to communicatebaby-smooth without using dialogue or narration L'Oreal go notes that introverts often find conversation a limited form of self-expression and rather turn to more creative alternatives like music baby to explains how he has multiple iPods for different moods implying that this music is an extension of his inner being in your inner thinking glittery mood." - Tom Vander Linden
BABY DRIVER ANALYSIS: HEARING THE WORLD THROUGH A PROTAGONIST / READING TOO DEEP
"One of the things that I love most about movies other than the fact that their movies that they allow for us as viewers to see the world through another person's eyes whether it be through the protagonist a main character an antagonist a minor character or an extra bystander film will always be able to show us another person's viewpoint of the way events in the story play out I should stay at the bus station however I've started to notice a trend in some more recent films that not only show us how characters see their in movie world but also how they hear it. Sure there have been scenes in film and television before where we either only hear what the director wants us to hear hear how characters receive and interpret information or hear how sound within the movie affects the hearing of the characters I know what you're probably going to ask but since we're always seeing movies through characters eyes doesn't that mean we're always hearing them through their ears as well not necessarily otherwise that score in any non-diegetic music and sound effects would be heard by the characters come to think of it that would actually make for some sort of awesome quasi sequel to stranger than fiction in which the protagonist realizes that there a character in a movie but I digress allowing an audience to both hear diegetic sound and hero characters in a movie personally since that sound is nothing new but when a movie allows you to do so for its entire runtime it is completely fascinating for example take two contemporary films that both feature deaf protagonists and characters I'm probably going to butcher this name but Myra Slav Slava Suzuki's the tribe and Mike Flanagan's hush in the tribe no one speaks as all of the characters are deaf all of the dialogue in the film is done through Ukranian sign language all with no subtitles in hush the main character is also death which obviously causes problem is when our home is invaded between these two films we still aren't hearing the world within the whole picture from the perspective of any of these characters we are still hearing not only non-diegetic music such as the store but in movie sound effects not at all as the characters would hear so this all leads me to Edgar Wright utterly fantastic baby driver a film where the entire movie is both seen and heard through that of its protagonist baby I'm going to analyze the themes of baby driver and how hearing not only the music that he listens to but the world to baby's ears how he interprets what it is he is hearing and what he chooses to do with said information is all connected to what the film is at its heart a coming-of-age tale where one comes of age to the act of not listening to others thinking for oneself and being defiant when told what to do." - Matt, Zillman
When you listen to music you can zone out and drown out the world around you, choosing not to do or say anything according to your environment, but let the music be a reflection of your mood.
Its no wonder why they say People Who Sing In The Car Are Happier, Healthier And Live Longer; as it brings them out of one state of mind and into another.
"Indeed, music makes everything better. It relieves pain, reduces stress, increases productivity, fosters euphoria and inspires even the least coordinated people to stand up and bust a move. Music is a beautiful thing and one of life's greatest gifts. One of the most effective ways of capturing the truth of music is through singing. It allows you to feel a song with your entire body and soul, turning your voice into an instrument. Research has shown singing can improve your health, increase happiness and even extend your life. Singing is great for your brain, and can literally make you feel high. It releases endorphins, hormones that produce pleasure, simultaneous to oxytocin, hormones that diminish stress and anxiety. Oxytocin also decreases feelings of depression and loneliness, making us feel more connected with the world, which is precisely why singing with other people feels even better. A study conducted by researchers at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden found people who sing together become so connected they exhibit synchronized heartbeats. Anyone who's ever sung in a choral group can attest to this. When the magical, melodious sound comes together, there's an explicable unity experienced between the individuals producing it. It's goosebump-inducing. Singing also requires deep concentration on breathing, works major muscle groups in the upper body and is great for both lung and cardiovascular health. Song is a form of regular, controlled breathing, since breathing out occurs on the song phrases and inhaling takes place between these. It gives you pretty much the same effect as yoga breathing. It helps you relax, and there are indications that it does provide a heart benefit. Thus, singing is arguably better for you than doing yoga. Research has also shown singing produces lower levels of cortisol, reducing stress while improving our immune systems. In other words, singing could potentially help keep you from getting sick. Correspondingly, a joint study from Harvard and Yale Universities in 2008 found singing increases life expectancy. Given the numerous mental and physical health benefits of crooning, this comes as no surprise." - BY JOHN HALTIWANGER, Elite Daily: Live Longer
Jimi Hendrix said that "Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music."
“WHO’S DRIVING YOU WHEN YOU PRESS PLAY?
There’s this story that I read in a devotion that I want to share. “My neighbor Tim has a figurine on his dashboard of a ‘wild thing’ based on Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s book ‘Where the Wild Things Are’. Not long ago Tim was following me through traffic and made some abrupt moves to keep up. When arrived, I asked, ‘Was that the wild thing’ driving?’ The following Sunday I forgot my sermon notes at home. I ‘flew’ out of the church to retrieve them, passing Tim along the way. When we met later, he joked, ‘Was that the wild thing driving?’ We laughed, but his point hit home – I should have paid attention to the speed limit. When the Bible describes what it means to live on in a relationship with God, it encourages us to ‘ offer every part of [ourselves]’ to Him (Romans 6:13). I took Tim’s response to me that day as a gentle reminder from God to yield my ‘lead foot,’ because I am to give all of my myself to Him out of love. The question of ‘who’s driving?’ applies to all of life. Do we let the ‘wild things’ of our old sin nature drive us – like worry, fear, or self-will – or do we yield to God’s loving spirit and the grace that helps us grow? Giving in to God is good for us. Scripture says that God’s wisdom takes us down ‘pleasant ways, all her paths are peace’ (proverbs 3:17). Better to follow where He lead’ (ref. James Banks, Our Daily Bread Ministries).
Galatians 5:25, “If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.]”
What God requires He also inspires.
Now I’m going to show you how you can drown out the pain of a trigger, and let it go through you; as you saw Baby do with his music from the movie.
In the book, 'Behaviology, New science of human behavior: Recent discoveries in human behavior and psychology.' Eddie Rafii teaching how, "WE DO NOT MOVE UNLESS WE ARE BOTHERED: the most brilliant discovery in human nature; every single human motion relates to a bothersome. We remain immobile if nothing bothers us. Imagine sitting on the sofa in your living room, completely comfortable with nothing at all to bother you. You are not hungry, thirsty, or tired. You are not cold, hot, or sick. The telephone does not ring. You are not worried about bills coming due or your job or business. You are not bored or sleepy, and absolutely nothing makes you uncomfortable, worried, excited, or upset. You are continuously calm and comfortable sitting on that sofa. Would you make any movement if nothing bothered you? WHAT WOULD BE THE FIRST MOTION OF OUR BODIES IF NOTHING BOTHERED US? Our actions depend on our balance. We perform motions only when we lose our balance, and we remain immobile when we are in balance.
When you see a beggar, you lose your balance (comfort), and you give him or her a dollar to regain your balance. Someone gives you a flower, and you say thank you to regain your balance. How would you feel if you didn’t say thank you when someone gave you a flower? You would feel uncomfortable and imbalanced. WHAT HAPPENS IN OUR MINDS WHEN WE INITIATE MOTIONS? We perform motions based on the potential outcomes of our joy and suffering. Our brains constantly evaluate joy and suffering, and we act where there is more enjoyment and less suffering. In other words, the sum of the outcome of our wants and fears determines our motions. PROBLEMS CREATE IMBALANCES AND WANTS IN US. WE PERFORM MOTIONS TO REGAIN OUR BALANCE. SUFFERING AND JOY ARE ASSOCIATED WITH EACH MOTION, AND THAT’S HOW LIFE BEGINS AND CONTINUES. Life is nothing but the repetition of suffering and joy. If we eliminate problems from our lives, we eliminate joy and happiness as well. Experiments prove that actions and reactions are chemical, not psychological. Feelings constitute a certain chemical process in the brain, and there is nothing beyond our bodies, such as emotions. Depression, anxiety, mania, and other so-called mental disorders result from a chemical imbalance, so what does that say about human nature? Behaviology, a revolutionary new branch of science analyzing human behavior, suggests that the potential outcome of our wants and fears determines our motions, and there is nothing external. Rafii lays out seven rules of human behavior:
1-We always want to be comfortable (balanced).
2-We move only when we lose our balance.
3-Loss of balance always creates want in us.
4-Every motion is associated with suffering and joy.
5-More suffering leads to more joy.
6-The outcome of want and fear determines motion.
7-Personality, physicality, and mental and environmental conditions determine desires and fears, and we move based on the sum of the outcomes of those desires and fears. The above discoveries opened a new window into the world of psychology. Behaviology is an advanced, powerful tool for analyzing human behavior."
In a time of musical reflection, sit in a favorite chair and begin to meditate on the Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence [awe, wonder, elevation] (Noticing and appreciating beauty, excellence, and/or skilled performance in various domains of life, from nature to art to mathematics to science to everyday experience) of the song you have playing; as you stare off into space.
1.) Define the image/mood/emotions you are seeing in your mind’s eye through the song, when you reflect on the elements and meaning.
2.) Activate your imagination and connect with your inner- wisdom, you are tapping into what you would call, 'Theories of Learning and Creativity' by Birgit Wolz, PhD that has to do with "embracing the cognitive and emotional needs for a healthy development of people by engaging multiple intelligences. Research about accelerated learning indicates that acquisition and retention are enhanced when multiple intelligences are activated when meaningful metaphorical content is employed during the learning process. Howard Gardner suggests that the more intelligences we access, the faster we learn and the better we retain information, because by doing so we engage multiple senses and employ different methods of information processing on multiple levels. (Gardner, 1993) Sturdevant hypothesizes that listening to music can engage at least five unique ways of experiencing our intelligence. (Sturdevant, 1998). The following brief introduction to these intelligences shows what aspect of a song is likely to engage certain people. Although all people have all five intelligences, many young people can be especially gifted with some of these types of intelligences."
⦁ Linguistic Intelligence - Lyric and songwriter in a song engage the linguistic intelligence. People who delight in reading, writing poetry, visiting the library, creating private languages, or memorizing songs from books or doing karaoke are especially gifted with this intelligence.
⦁ Logical Intelligence - The song’s plot engages the logical intelligence. People who are especially skilled in recognizing patterns, organizing blocks, playing chess or checkers, building abstract or imaginary worlds, collecting and categorizing things, or conducting experiments are especially gifted with this type of intelligence.
⦁ Musical Intelligence - Sounds and music engage the musical intelligence. This aspect of a song speaks especially to people who can carry a tune, sing and whistle often, and remember the tunes of songs. Music is often present in their mind.
⦁ Interpersonal Intelligence - Storytelling engages the interpersonal or social intelligence as the listener relates to and identifies with singer/artist. People who form friendships easily, solve quarrels between others, show empathy, and are natural leaders are especially gifted with social intelligence.
⦁ Intrapsychic Intelligence - Self-reflection or inner guidance, as demonstrated especially in inspirational songs, engages the intrapsychic intelligence. Independent people enjoy solitary past-times, such as creating a secret hideout or working alone on a hobby. They may have a unique style, be self-confident, and in touch with their own feelings.
3.) Close your eyes and let the music speak, while you imagine yourself in the scenery that the song creates. Let the music create the atmosphere you see the emotion/mood residing in, with this in mind, as you listen to the lyrics. Ponder how we live in a word-created, word-upheld, word-dominated environment! You, me and everyone else, are living today in the environment we created yesterday with our words. The only thing that will change it is to change what we are saying! optimistic & hope-filled words dominate the laws of attraction, science and the imagination.
4.) See yourself putting the musical elements and instrumental arrangements into action; as you now been given the freedom to have dominion over this atmosphere of sound, ask yourself…
⦁ What are the melodies doing?
⦁ What story is the vocals describing of the atmosphere I'm in?
⦁ What picture does the lyrics paint in the song's scene?
⦁ If the instrumental accompaniments feel like superpowers, what do you see them do?
⦁ Now cast the artist into the scene as a scene partner, and imagine you’re building a parasocial relationship with them as their dialogue is the lyrics but for you you have to communicate through gestures and body movements.
⦁ Make like the song is your scene study and live truthfully in the moment just as you would in a real event.
5.) Imagine yourself living the song out, and feel the bliss of its flare or vibrancy.
6.) Let the energy of the song run through your body; as you imagine the sounds flow through your body, carrying the emotions that you feel out of you, until you feel the impulse of emotion well up within you that you have to release it.
7.) Now before you forget what you've discovered, write down any insights, your experience, or create a typography of the lyrics to share and make a difference for someone else.
This process of meditation and practicing creative imagination will help you develop an emotion/mood and get into the character you feel that's emerging from a song o atmosphere; nevertheless, quiet time in your life with music and help you reconnect with your own energy, especially in times of emotional turmoil. Remember, the atmosphere you are placed in can be the result of the emotions/mood you are feeling as you control the outcome by choosing what to feel and how to react to that environment.
BEING A MASTER OF METAPHORS by using words to remake the world an environment has created, where the positive can become the negative or the negative can become the positive.
MICAH - Prophets use words to remake the world. The world - heaven and earth, men and women, animals and birds - was made in the first place by God's Word. Prophets, arriving on the scene and finding that world in ruins, finding a world of moral rubble and spiritual disorder, take up the work of words again to rebuild what human disobedience and mistrust demolished. These prophet learn their speech from God. Their words are God-grounded, God-energized, God-passionate. As their words enter the language of our communities, men and women find themselves in the presence of God, who enters the mess of human wrongdoing to rebuke and renew. Left to ourselves we turn God into an object, something we can deal with something we can use to our benefit, whether that thing is a feeling or an idea or an image. Prophets scorn all such stuff. They train us to respond to God's presence and voice. Micah the final member of that powerful quarter of writing prophets who burst on the world scene in the eighth century B.C. (Isaiah, Hosea, and Amos were the others like virtually all his fellow prophets - those charged with keeping people alive to God and alert to listening to the voice of God - was a master of metaphor. This means that he used words not simply to define or identify what can be seen, touched, smelled, heard, or tasted, but to plunge us into a world of presence. To experience presence is to enter that far larger world of reality that our sensory experiences point to but can not describe - the realities of love and compassion, justice and faithfulness, wrongdoing and evil…and God Mostly God. The realities that are Word-evoked are where most of the world's action takes place. There are no more mere words.
⦁ From: Micah came from a village in Judah near the Philistine border, but he knew Isaiah who lived in Jerusalem. The two men's message overlapped, but Micah spoke from the point-of-view of a small-town guy who daily saw local rich people exploiting ordinary folks. The rich retaliated by hiring prophets to speak in God's name against Micah.
⦁ To: Wealthy landowners were using extortion and sharp lawyers to manipulate small farmers out of their land. They claimed to believe in God, but they acted like the worst idol worshipers. They didn't heed Micah when the Assyrians crushed the northern kingdom of Israel and they didn't heed him when Assyria returned, twenty years later, and came within a hair of conquering their own country.
⦁ Re: About 740-690 B.C. Legend has it that Rome was founded on April 21,753 B.C. by twin brothers who had been raised by a wolf. While this may be doubtful, archaeological evidence shows that around this time two villages on two of Roman's hills united. These early Romans modeled themselves on the strong Etruscan city-states in northern Italy. The Etruscans had grown rich trading with Greece, the Middle East, and Africa. From the Greeks they had acquired an alphabet and human-like gods, but their artwork and rituals for divining the future were unique. Romans still celebrate April 21 as their founding day with parades and festivals.
⦁ Read Micah 1-7 in your Bible.
Exercise: Exposure Therapy - Exposure therapy is a psychological treatment that was developed to help people confront their fears. When people are fearful of something, they tend to avoid the feared objects, activities or situations.
When someone has successfully completed exposure therapy treatment, there are many positive outcomes, including:
Reduced sensitivity to previously distressing situations
Decreased fear of associations with the stimuli
Increased ability to tolerate fear
In the exposure and response prevention (ERP or EX/RP) variation of exposure therapy, the resolution to refrain from the escape response is to be maintained at all times and not just during specific practice sessions.[32] Thus, not only does the subject experience habituation to the feared stimulus, but they also practice a fear-incompatible behavioral response to the stimulus. The distinctive feature is that individuals confront their fears and discontinue their escape response.[33] The American Psychiatric Association recommends ERP for the treatment of OCD, citing that ERP has the richest empirical support.
Stress Management: Breathing Exercises for Relaxation
Have you ever noticed how you breathe when you feel relaxed? The next time you are relaxed, take a moment to notice how your body feels. Or think about how you breathe when you first wake up in the morning or just before you fall asleep. Breathing exercises can help you relax, because they make your body feel like it does when you are already relaxed.
Deep breathing is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. This is because when you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax. The brain then sends this message to your body. Those things that happen when you are stressed, such as increased heart rate, fast breathing, and high blood pressure, all decrease as you breathe deeply to relax.
The way you breathe affects your whole body. Breathing exercises are a good way to relax, reduce tension, and relieve stress.
Breathing exercises are easy to learn. You can do them whenever you want, and you don't need any special tools or equipment to do them.
You can do different exercises to see which work best for you.
But, what if, someone made it possible for movie lovers to be apart of the full blown movie theater experience from purchase a ticket at a box office; to ordering movie snacks at concessions; to finding the screen that their movie is showing in; to sitting down in that theater and enjoying their movie; to standing after to watch the credits roll, and walking out of the theater like as if they were in an actual movie theater?
